Our basic philosophy in raising Hampshires is to produce…

 
  • Big framed, fast growing, thick-made Hampshire sheep. We expect our rams to weigh 140 lbs or more at 120 days of age.

  • Structurally correct rams and ewes.

  • Ewes that are easy keeping, long lived, twin and milk heavy.

  • Sheep that have eye appeal, style and breed character.

  • Genetics that are spider free and scrapie resistant.

Champion Ram at the 2007 Minnesota State Fair as a yearling and Reserve Champion Ram at the 2006 Minnesota State Fair as a lamb. He has added extension and pattern to his lambs. His mother is one of our top "Hot Stuff" daughters.

Reserve Champion Ram at the 2004 Minnesota State Fair. This big, stout made ram was sold to Heggemeier Sheep Company and we purchased him in their dispersal sale in 2007. Sixteen yearlings and fall lambs sired by him averaged over $2000 per head last year.

This is the biggest framed ram we have raised. In addition, he has tremendous thickness and is sound structured. His mother has been an extremely consistent producer of high-quality sheep; we have shown every lamb she has had. She is also the maternal grandmother of "Charlotte", our Champion Ewe at the 2006 National Hampshire Sale.

First Place March Ram Lamb at the 2007 Minnesota State Fair. Great pattern, stout made, heavy boned with a smooth made front end. His mother is our top "Hot Stuff" daughter; she placed fifth as a yearling ewe at the 2006 National Show and fifth in the January Ewe Lamb class in 2005.

Champion Ram at the 2003 MN State Fair. G9648 is our top brood ewe and also the mother of Hot Shock. Shockwave sired the Reserve Champion Ram (Aftershock) at the 2004 MN State Fair and the Champion Ram (Revolution) in 2005.

Champion Ram at the 2005 MN State Fair. This big-framed February lamb is extremely heavy boned, stout made and clean fronted. His dam carries Blue Devil, Northlander and Cabaniss 90 bloodlines in her pedigree.

2nd Place Yearling Ram at 2006 National Hampshire Sale. He was the longest bodied ram in the sale. In addition, he is level topped and extremely extended in his front. His pedigree is rich in Power Point, Pentium, Rare Sonar and Sir
